Blessed with a fantastic location amongst the idyllic scenery of the fabled 'Valley of the Poets', this lovely old building has provided a haven for savvy visitors and locals alike for centuries. Once inside, you'll soon see why. With its warm cosy décor and log fires, buzzing down-to-earth atmosphere and delicious home-cooked food, it is hard to think of a more inviting feast for the senses after a long day out in the fresh air.
The continually updated menu takes full advantage of the finest seasonally available local produce, and rewards inevitable repeat visits, but a solid roster of classics is available all year round. Ingredients are sourced from some of Wales' finest artisanal producers and it shows. A delectable example of this is the delicious salt-marsh lamb regularly bought in from Edward of Conwys, whose excellence has been recognised by Rick Stein in his 'Food Heroes' programme, amongst many other very satisfied customers.
