Castle Cottage Restaurant with Rooms is located in the heart of the town and is a mere stones throw away from the World Heritage Site of Harlech Castle. The rugged exterior belies the contemporary interior, its design bringing together natural materials and modern fittings to one of the oldest houses in Harlech.
Relax and enjoy your aperitifs and canapes in the bar in front of a roaring log burning fire and stunning solid oak flooring, complemented by the original Welsh artwork. After dinner you can retire to the lounge where you are treated to the picturesque views of Mount Snowdon.
The restaurant has a crisp and friendly atmosphere and attention has been given to every detail from the Italian designed cutlery to the contemporary Welsh art hanging on the walls. The menu is changed regularly to make way for fresh and seasonal local produce such as freshly caught lobster to the suckling pig from Pugh's Piglets. A firm favorite is the grilled fillet of local line caught seabass served on buttered linguine with roasted asparagus and a basil, white wine and cream sauce. An extensive wine list with a strong South African presence offers plenty of character at reasonable prices.
