In a part of Wales not short of sublime locations this has to be one of the most idyllic. Set in its own peaceful grounds with breathtaking views of Snowdonia and the Lleyn Peninsula, The Outbuildings is a stylish and imaginative renovation of a beautiful stone built barn and granary to form top class accommodation that can either be enjoyed on a B&B basis or booked as a whole to accommodate a large group of family or friends.

The four bedrooms have been designed and furnished with real personality and care. Expect a welcome tray with homemade cake or biscuits on arrival and each room is blessed with Wi-Fi, iPod docking stations, flat screen TV and a morning newspaper delivered to the room. The individuality of each room stretches to the name - The Pink Spotty Jug, The Button Room, The Boys' Room and The Granary Steps, all are en-suite with king size beds or in the case of the Button Room a four-poster and each has the finest bed linen and lovely touches such as handmade flower soaps.

The house is wonderfully spacious and the two sitting rooms are an invitation to relax whether it’s in the company of an open fire and lovely rural views on the ground floor or upstairs in the gallery an equally comfortable area to take it easy and unwind. The kitchen is superbly equipped and a pleasure to cook in with an enormous farmhouse table and chairs the ideal place to enjoy a convivial breakfast or supper. Alternately, dinner can be taken in the restaurant dining room where you can enjoy delicious suppers comprising the likes of Toulouse sausages with puy lentils, Shepherd’s pie with black pudding and mash, Anglesey mussels with a sauce of leeks and homemade Rhubarb Ice Cream or Apple Crumble with lashings of Custard. The restaurant is open to the non-resident public on Fridays and Saturdays.

To justify all this indulgence you’ll no doubt want to make the most of the myriad opportunities to get out and about. The beach is just a few minute’s drive away and The Outbuildings are situated on a cycle track and close to the coastal footpath. A tennis court is available and from the house you can walk to the Neolithic burial chamber about 200 yards up the drive. Although the house is in a secluded spot its only ten minutes drive from the A55 and easy access to the rest of Anglesey, Snowdonia and the Lleyn Peninsula.
