The family team of Hugh and Linda Crossley spent quite some time lovingly renovating this appealing 16th century farmhouse with its charming cottage situated at one end. Their enthusiasm for marrying effective modern design with traditional materials and techniques clearly shows. Furniture and fittings made from local oak abound in the light, spacious rooms, with fine leather sofas, a slate-adorned kitchen and a log burner completing the atmosphere of chic rustic comfort.

Hidden away from the rest of the world at the end of a mile-long lane, Cae Caled is surrounded by an incredible 30 acres of private land for you to explore. Stroll along the sleepy river that flows beside the grounds, and marvel at the kingfishers and swans that rear their young by the cottage's wildlife pond. With a panorama of dreamy hills in the background and birdsong filling the air until dusk, this serene spot makes for an enchanting romantic retreat.
