An imposing Georgian townhouse that has been rejuvenated with some flair to offer eight individually styled bedrooms, a showcase for Welsh art and a restaurant with a welcome emphasis on the produce of North Wales.

Manorhaus has been designed with flair and an attention to detail. Bedrooms boast goose-down duvets, Egyptian cotton, flat screen TVs and DVD players, bathrooms have power showers, fast-fill baths, robes and enormous fluffy towels. Each bedroom exhibits the work of a different artist, modern furniture including design classics and is complemented by some bespoke pieces. The restaurant and lounge act as a gallery space exhibiting the work of contemporary Welsh artists in the form of abstracts, printmaking, photography and landscapes.

This is not a stuffy or over-precious environment though – Manorhaus is a relaxing place to stay with an easygoing atmosphere and an emphasis on comfort and a homely feel. The restaurant menu makes much of the local bounty with the likes of salt marsh lamb, Welsh black beef, Menai mussels being typical of the raw materials employed.
