An exquisite romantic getaway, the Little Coach House is a gorgeous and sumptuously appointed cottage set in the grounds of a grand country house. Everything about the place is an invitation to indulge, not least the sole bedroom decorated in Louis XIV style with a double bed of lavish proportions and special touches like monogrammed fluffy white dressing gowns, slippers and towels.
The lounge is a splendid room adorned with a mix of extravagant furniture, beautiful fabrics and eclectic ornamentation with a deep and inviting sofa the perfect place to relax in front of the French style fireplace with its flame effect fire. French doors open out onto the garden terrace with its gentle running stream and wrought iron table and chairs. Dinner for two at the pretty dining table lit by a crystal chandelier is a real treat made all the finer by having access to a very well-equipped kitchen.
The grounds are an absolute joy with a lake, ancient woodland and wild flowers in abundance. Just a couple of minutes walk from the cottage Tyddyn Mawr Farm Shop offers great quality local produce and the busy little harbour town of Porthmadog is just 6 miles away. The magical, secret valley of Cwm Pennant with its quiet wooded lanes and Snowdonian backdrop is nearby, as are sandy Blue Flag beaches at Criccieth and Black Rock. Portmeirion, the Snowdonia National Park and the Llanberis Lake Railway are just some of many attractions within a short drive of this special little hideaway.
