This place is truly sublime - not only is it located in one of the most beautiful parts of Wales, on the edge of peaceful Cosheston with breathtaking views of the Haven and the Cleddau Estuary, but it offers the kind of stylish but relaxed luxury that make the accommodation so much more than just a place to stay. It’s not the kind of place you have to keep to yourself either - large enough to take a group of family or friends it has a spaciousness that means you’ll never feel cramped and with 8 acres of beautiful garden and a boat house and private jetty too, there is an air of real freedom about the place.
The house was completely renovated in 2009 and has been designed with real flair and a commitment to quality. It’s an easy place to chill and is wonderfully unstuffy but endless thought has gone into offering real comfort and convenience from beautiful linen, super comfortable beds and fluffy towels to a zoned music system and Wi-Fi.
Four Ashes can sleep 12 accommodated in 7 bedrooms that range from an astonishing Master Bedroom Suite that extends to the entirety of one side of the house and includes an expansive bathroom and gorgeous oversized bath, to a sweet nursery with a cot (which is the only bedroom without a view of the water). All are beautifully furnished and decorated with the real care, none more so than the twin bed children’s room with its seaside theme.
The downstairs rooms are an invitation to relax, the lounge with stunning estuary views also accommodates a state of the art entertainments system (cinema screen, DVD, Wii etc) as well as a centrepiece log fire. Next door is the library which also features a log fire and might be the place to snatch some peace and quiet whilst the kids are in the neighbouring play room. The L-shaped kitchen is the heart of the house and a real treat with an AGA, American fridge freezer, coffee machine, bread maker and all you would expect in a house of this standard.
The grounds outside reflect the quality of the interior with lawns, a rose garden, a kitchen garden, a sun terrace and a perfectly positioned summer house. What’s more there is a tennis court and a four acre paddock with the Pembrokeshire Coastal path running alongside it. Not much further afield are some of the best beaches in Pembrokeshire such as Barafundle and Freshwater West and East.
