The house belongs to the Armstrong-Joneses- a family whose best-known member is Lord Snowdon, former husband of Princess Margaret, but is now run by your friendly hosts Andy and Julian Banner-Price who have brought new life - and fresh comforts - to this fine old building.
Family portraits, books and other memorobilia especially in the Gun Room give the house a character that couldn’t possibly be manufactured. The bedrooms are plushly appointed and attention to detail is evident everywhere down to little touches such as fresh milk for your cup of tea.
The beautiful gardens, wooded grounds and lodge are another attraction, along with the house’s location near Caernarfon Castle, The Welsh Highland Railway and the mountains of Snowdonia. Two top quality self-catering cottages are also available in the grounds.
