Y Goeden Eirin

Sean - visited in October 2009

We recently stayed for two nights at Y Goeden Eirin, and found it a real home from home. The welcome was personal (tea and homemade bara brith), the room luxurious and full of little individual touches (lovely local art, underfloor heating, first-rate shower, sherry, chocolates, fruit and homemade biscuits). Dinner in the licensed dining room is by arrangement, and they offer a no-choice menu, so you'd better discuss it beforehand. You can be assured of fresh country style cooking with flair. The surrounding countryside is of outstanding natural beauty, at the edge of Snowdonia National Park, and there is plenty to do here, come rain or shine.
