St Govan's Chapel

Brenda Whiteman - visited in June 2010

St Govan's chapel is a magical place. It's simplicity and the stories surrounding the saintly hermit who hid in a cleft in the rocks which miraculously opened to hide and save St Govan from marauding pirates only adds to the spititual mystery of the site. I visited at dusk in June 2010 after a beautifully sunny day when the sunset had left a cerise pink sky and took many photos. But the most fascinating part was when I reviewed my photos and saw a monk's image in the rock behind the altar!
