Lolfa Cynin is a working dairy and sheep farm, but you wouldn’t know it. Lolfa means ‘lounge’, and you’ll do that in style in this beautifully converted coach house with facilities you’d expect at a top hotel – spacious luxury bedrooms and a stunning leisure complex with indoor heated pool, spa, sauna and gym. It’s not the usual modest ‘excuse for a pool’, but a proper 40ft pool complete with counter current.
All in all, it’s one of the best places to stay for families – and great value. And it’s a true family business. Gwawr Davies is in charge, her mother looks after the leisure club and father gets on with the farming. It’s centrally located for Carmarthenshire, Cardiganshire and Pembrokeshire and a host of places to visit including the National Botanic Garden, Oakwood Park, Tenby and Carmarthen Bay, plus a good choice of restaurants and pubs. Self-catering also available.
