The two Havards of the title are Philip and Christine who established their Cowbridge antique business in 1992. Philip’s career amounts to a life in antiques having studied fine art auctioneering at Southampton and worked as a furniture specialist for Phillips the renowned Cardiff auctioneers. Christine held a management role at Phillips auctioneers.
A deep affection for the beauty and practicality of Welsh country furniture is at the root of their business but you will find their shop offers a wide range of enchanting 18th and 19th century pieces and a wealth of distinctive period objects. With their years of experience, Philip and Christine are also happy to advise on the styling of both period and modern interiors.
